Description  more details

Rare find, Pre-seasoned waffle maker from Manning Bowman. This particular one was made in 1950. The model series was late 40's to early 50's. This model "A" meant it had a redesigned hinge and was treated with "Glazon" which is their term for pre-seasoned (NOT TEFLON). Its an oil treatment.  They said you did not have to use oil, but that is not really true; you must use oil but you will have much less trouble with sticky waffles. It has a pretty scroll design but is very heavy duty. It is equipped with a thermostat with a "OFF" to "Dark" range. It heats nicely and evenly. It is extremely well made and very heavy duty. It will last a lifetime if taken care of properly. I have re-wired it, cleaned it up and tested it. I managed to keep the seasoning on the plates. These plates are 3/8" deep, a little thicker than normal waffles but not a "Belgian" style.

6 foot original style cloth cord, all tested and in excellent shape. Complete care and use instructions.

Plates (Irons): Uncoated Plates
Thermostats: With Thermostat
Cord: Separate cord
Cord Style/Type: 6 foot
