Description  more details

Sunbeam manufactured this beauty in the 1930's and 40's. It has full size plates totaling 80 square inches of waffle.  These are  1/4" waffle plates (1/2" at thickest point). NOT a belgian style waffle.

Excellent condition considering its size and possibility of abuse through the years.

The waffle grids make four perfect 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch waffles at one time that break easily into nice size waffles. They can be made, frozen and used in a toaster later for the quick morning waffle. Better than the manufactured frozen waffles you buy, these are homemade and great! I am including a copy of the original Sunbeam instruction for this machine.

1200 watt heaters wired AC and a very sensitive thermostat make this iron easy to control and with the thick plates it holds heat extremely well.  The light makes it easy to tell when its on and when the waffles are done. It is nice and large, easy to see.

The waffle grids have a huge well on the bottom so it is almost impossible to over flow it. This is one of the best large family style waffle irons ever made and this one is exceptional in all aspects; looks, ease of use and hardiness. For a crowd or a family this is the best.

Overall dimensions are 4 inches high at highest, 12 x 12 inches overall width and length. Plates are 9 x 9 inches. It weighs 10 pounds with the waffle grids in place. Hefty. It won't move around on you and is very stable on the counter.

It has a new rubber cord.

Plates (Irons): Uncoated Plates
