Description  more details

Superior Electric, Cape Girardeau, Missouri 7 inch waffle iron. Made in the 1930's. Has a pretty design and is fairly well made. "Wing" style handles and the base is made to catch the drips. No thermostat but it cooks and holds temperature fairly nicely as long as you keep cooking. You must unplug it when done or if it gets too hot.

The thermometer for "bake" is 314 to 450 degrees F. Above that it will go to 644 degrees, way too hot so if you see it going above "bake" you unplug it.

11 1/4 inches overall width and 5 inches high. Plates stay on and are not removable by the user. Just keep them seasoned.

Superior Electric was a family business formed in 1922 and lasted through 1968. In 68 it was bought by United Syndicate and continued "SuperLectric" appliances until the 1980's.

Plates (Irons): Uncoated Plates
Thermostats: No Thermostat
