Description  more details

Rare find, oblong waffle maker from Manning Bowman. This particular one was made in 1951. The model series was late 40's to early 50's. Called the 'Regent" model it has a pretty scroll design but is very heavy duty. It is equipped with a thermostat with a "OFF" to "Dark" range. It heats nicely and evenly. I have re-wired it, cleaned it up and tested it. It makes waffles that tend to be a little thicker than most, but not Belgian style. They come out about 1/2 inch at thickest part.

The plates will need seasoning but when I tested it, it only needed one small dose of oil (olive oil) and there was no problem at all with sticking. The key of course is oil in the batter and cooking enough time.

6 foot new cord included and complete instructions.

Plates (Irons): Uncoated Plates
Thermostats: With Thermostat
Cord: Separate cord
Cord Style/Type: 6 foot
