Completely restored. Make a grilled cheese like your Grandmother did! Dominion (Mansfield Ohio) made quite a few of these utilitarian and well made sandwich presses and griddles in the late 1930's and again in the late 1940s. Very nice design with heat indicator and removable plates for easy cleaning. Fairly simple design but rugged. Model 1210 Walnut wood handles and feet which tells me this one was made in the 30's. Nice new wiring and heavy duty heaters. It will last a lifetime. New 6 foot cord set. Rewired, cleaned and ready to make waffles! 660 watts, 120 VAC. It will keep the heat just right for cooking but unplug when done. Its 15 inches handle to handle, the plates are 5 x10 inches and it is 5 inches high. its in a big box so shipping is a little more than normal. Dominion Electrical Manufacturing Company was first started in Minneapolis in 1920's. It moved to Mansfield Ohio in 1935 then built a large facility in 1953 around the time Westinghouse also built a new plant in Mansfield, Ohio. There were and are some very good metal workers and electricians in Mansfield. (Its not only a prison town used in "Shawshank Redemption".)

Is it safe?
It will be as safe or safer than the original manufacturer when it was made. Many times it is safer since I remove and replace asbestos wiring and unsafe cords. Note: There are some items I no longer refurbish because they cannot be made safe. I check every item for stray voltage and many times it is too high so that unit is scrapped.
What does Restored and Rebuilt Mean?
It means its been re-wired with modern high heat resistant wire, thermostats re-set, gunk, grease, stains have been removed. Restored to original factory specifications. Cords and wiring safe. All components checked for safety. Everything back to very good to mint condition nothing less.
